47th Annual Luncheon Celebration
James Francis and Maude Busch Byrnes are known as "Pop" and "Mom" to generations of Byrnes Scholars.
The Byrnes Scholars held their 47th annual awards luncheon June 12 with more than140 Byrnes Scholars and Friends of The James F. Byrnes Foundation attending.
The luncheon introduced the 2010 scholars and recognized the 2006 scholars as they make the transition from college into the working world.
The 2010 class of Byrnes Scholars is: Henry Luther "Trey" Capps, Galivants Ferry; Laron Cobb, Andrews; Sara Hensley, Pacolet; William "Will" Latimer, Anderson; Kara Marcum-Elam, Pelion; M. Chris Melton, Fountain Inn; and Emily Sirico, Fort Mill.
Graduating 2006 Schoalrs are: Karen Naomi Black, College of Charleston; Samuel Dixon Fleming, College of Charleston; ZoEllen Victoria Henderson, USC; Steven David Key, USC; Robert Hall Miller, Citadel; David Ryan Parsons, Clemson; Kayla Danielle Miller, USC; Jenna Christine Quigley, USC; Kayla Shown-Pohl, USC; and Waymon Deangelo Tyson, USC.
