Margaret Courtney loved the Foundation, its mission, and most importantly its scholarship recipients. She felt it was important to remember how this unique foundation was formed, the many people who had a part keeping it strong and vital for 70 years, and telling the stories of the Scholars. The last five years of Margaret’s life were dedicated to writing this book, collecting the stories, and editing its contents. This was a difficult task under any circumstances but was a herculean task for a 90-year-old.

This book will remind you of the impact that the Byrnes family had/has in your life. Whether it was the financial support, the mentorship, emotional support, or the friendship of fellow Byrnes brothers and sisters, you were hopefully touched in some ways.
